Frangipani Cottage

The charming Frangipani cottage was built from largely reclaimed materials in a traditional West Indian fashion, to fit into the landscape of our historic property. Frangipani offers a bedroom with king bed and separate dressing area, a spacious bathroom with natural stone shower, and a cute front porch with view of the garden. A kitchenette with under counter fridge and 2 burner electric hot plate and wooden deck with dining table was added recently. The opening below the vaulted ceilings allows for excellent natural ventilation and lighting. Frangipani is the perfect getaway for couples and honeymooners. However, there is a futon between the bathroom and kitchen which can be used for a child, and a baby cot can be placed next to the main bed. For older children or larger families, the Moringa, Almond or Banyan cottage are more suitable.

Please note that all our historic and newer accommodations are built in an eco-friendly, open and tropical style, with no window screens or air conditioning, only standing fans and mosquito nets. Balenbouche is best for adventurous travelers who are comfortable with the outdoors, do not require resort style amenities and are looking to experience true island life.
